Hsintzu (Cindy) Chang

I’m Hsintzu (Cindy) Chang — an industrial designer specializing in furniture, home goods, and design strategy. My work explores how design can shape daily life, combining functionality, aesthetics, and storytelling to create products that feel both purposeful and refined.

My education bridges science and design: a Master’s in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, a Bachelor’s in Applied Chemistry in Taiwan, and further studies at Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art. This unique background enables me to merge scientific rigor and material understanding with creative exploration and human-centered thinking, shaping a design approach that is both logical and expressive.

Professionally, at Noknok Studio, I focused on design strategy, developing product pitch strategies for high-end brands, exploring design licensing opportunities, and strengthening brand storytelling through digital platforms and personalized client engagement. Previously, at Yigal Azrouel in New York, I contributed to designing hospitality interior products, chair design, tableware, and fashion collection through research, prototyping, and production coordination.

At the heart of my practice is a passion for creating thoughtful, human-centered products that elevate everyday experiences while aligning with cultural and brand narratives. Whether designing a piece of furniture, refining a product system, or shaping a strategic vision, I aim to bring clarity, care, and curiosity into every project.
