I elevate stroke rehabilitation experience with this medical equipment, digital game, and app design.

Part1. Rehabilitation Equipment

Part2. Digital Game and App Design

Stroke Rehabilitation Pain Points:
  1. Lack of Support – Limited resources, poor staff, and insurance barriers.
  2. Poor Communication – Hard to reach and coordinate with rehab teams.
  3. Emotional Strain – Patients and caregivers feel isolated and unmotivated.
  4. Boring Rehab – Repetitive tasks and unfriendly materials reduce engagement.

App Functions:

  1. Checking Schedule
  2. Following the rehab menu on the app
  3. Keep the rehab progress record in the app to visualize the data and motivate stroke survivor
  4. Provide feedback, like complaints, about the healthcare staff's performance
  5. Do telemedicine with doctors when staying at home, or share experiences with other stroke patients
  6. Hosting online or in-person events for people to cheer each other up
  7. People can write articles about their feelings and experiences, and post them
  8. Post, comment, and chat with others through the app like a social media for the stroke community
  9. Activities and courses to register for: Laugh therapy/Consulting/Yoga/Gardening/Cooking

Game- Finger muscle training - Physical and cognitive coordination:

Gamify the exercise regimen to enhance stroke patients’ motivation and engagement.
-Progressively narrow and complex route as game level advances
-Elements include levels, timing challenges, and restart options for tracking progress
-High contrast color display prevents monotony during repetitive tasks
